If you’re on this website, you’re looking for the venues for your event. A venue, however, isn’t just made up of bricks and mortar, but also of people. And so… here we are. Our names are Jody e Ricky, founders and directors of METROLOFTEVENTI®. However, we would like to make it clear that we are also disc jockey, practically since the beginning. Our career began when we were just kids, in the early 1990s, and is the result of many years of ’paying our dues“, taking our first steps as DJs at private parties we organised with our school friends. Before long, we began working with clubs and nightspots in Milan, Brianza and Switzerland, before focusing on private parties: meanwhile, the gigs became more high-profile (we began a fruitful collaboration in the corporate events sector, which we’re still involved in today) and we gained experience and… thousands of records. And we launched the project DJ4, a DJ for parties and events, based in northern and central Italy, who is still bringing us a great deal of satisfaction.

THE RADIO SCHOOL 
An important aspect of DJ training was, for Jody, as well as his experience as a radio presenter and producer at a number of local radio stations in Lombardy: his ability to handle the microphone (Jody is also an events presenter) whilst managing the tight deadlines and fast pace required in radio proves to be an excellent asset in the world of events; likewise, the technical expertise he has gained through using the sophisticated equipment in a control room is a real asset that always comes into its own during his performances. And these skills are now available for the METROLOFTEVENTI project.

THE WORLD OF EVENTS Holds NO SECRETS 
For Ricky, on the other hand, my many years of collaboration in the organisation of corporate events – handling the logistical and technical aspects across the whole of Italy – with leading event companies such as Impact Communication Technology in Sesto San Giovanni have provided me with a wealth of experience. This has provided invaluable training in gaining a holistic view of an event and developing the problem-solving skills essential to ensuring that every event is a success. Meanwhile, the first enquiries are coming in for our DJ service, including for the wedding celebrations: The trend for “wedding DJs” is gaining ground in Italy, following in the footsteps of what has been happening in America for many years, and we are among the first to embrace it.

By dedicating ourselves wholeheartedly to this sector, we “build” and launch “Professional Wedding DJ” and it was an instant hit. We’ve got thousands of people dancing all over Italy: Irish, Germans, Americans, Brits, Russians and Indians. In short, the expertise we’ve built up in the field of entertainment is truly remarkable, but this work always presents us with a challenge to try and do even better.

And finally… here comes METROLOFTEVENTI

Having spent our lives in the events industry, and having gained an in-depth understanding of all its nuances and challenges, we decided to set up METROLOFTEVENTI, the venue for those who have been in the events industry for 25 years. Having been involved in hundreds of parties, meetings and conventions at an operational level, we have had to liaise with a wide variety of organisations, coordinating the entertainment aspect with the other key players involved in the event (venue managers, caterers, service providers, etc.). We have thus acquired a range of skills that have proved invaluable in developing this new venture within the field of party and event venues in Milan. A project built on solid foundations, therefore, ready to become your go-to venue in Milan.
